A New Way to Keep Up with my Writing + An Article on Christina Rossetti

I've entered the world of Substack.

I wanted to share some recent research and a new venture with a Substack.

First the article.

This one has been in the works for a while, and draws from some of my research on nineteenth-century Anglican biblical interpretation. It's a look at Christina Rossetti and the virtue of hope over at the Center for Pastor Theologians Journal. It's an academic article that combines sociological insights into the virtue of hope with some of Rossetti's prose reflections (though I end with a look at "Goblin Market").

You can see the article here.

In other news, I've started a Substack. There are two primary purposes. The first is to share writing that otherwise falls through the cracks. I'd really like to give folks the opportunity to see what I'm up to. And second, since I am no longer on social media, I don't have a place to share about music, films, food, etc. I don't need to be doing this everyday, but it's nice to have an occasion to appreciate what has been nourishing me. This will give me a space to do so once a month.

I'd invite you to subscribe here.
